District Three meetings are on the 3rd Saturday of each month @ 9am

Well, District 3 is gradually growing.  Just from the few groups I’ve been able to visit, we have generated some more attendance and new GSRs.  I hope to start getting out to more groups soon.  I had some time constraints this year between my shoulder surgery (and all the physical therapy that has entailed) and starting a new job (and all the training connected with that).

We have added at least one new chairperson, Roxanne, for Archives.  We have another new GSR who is considering chairing the Treatment Facilities committee. We already had Corrections, Literature & Group Records chairs. Despite lacking a Public Information chair, we are still carrying forth with that work.  We voted to make available pamphlets so groups can get those out to their local libraries, clinics, cop shops, human service offices and other public locations.   We will soon have our new updated District directories to attach to the pamphlets. 

Samira will be attending our next District meeting on May 19^th.  I hope we get a good turn out.  I am looking forward to her report on the Conference in New York.

We held a workshop on Saturday, April 28^th.  And some kind alkies from District 16 expressed an interest in combining our resources to do a joint workshop in the Fall.

We were given some letters from Bill W to a former member (now deceased) by her daughter.  I made those available at our last District meeting.  I believe copies are being sent to the Area Archives as well.

There is another new Spanish meeting in our District - in Austin.  I will be visiting them and getting contact information for District 27.

 We have also added a few new English meetings in Waseca, Austin and Owatonna.  The group in Owatonna is providing daycare.

 I hope I haven’t forgotten anything.
