2007 "Letting God's Light Shine"
What started out as meeting the need of those who suffered from Hurricane Katrina has become an annual journey to the gulf coast for our church. Again this year a group went down to serve. You can see their story and the story of some progress in the rebuilding efforts in the following Powerpoint presentation.
Gulfport Mission Trip 2006 April 19th – 25th, 2006
One of the first questions we all asked after we saw the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina was, “What can we do to help?” Initially all that was asked for was money and so as a church we responded by giving to the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Fund. Then we planned and carried out a mission trip to the gulf in the spring of 2006. The rally cry was "I'm ready." A group from our church went down to help out.
